Menopause Explained
At menopause, you stop producing oestrogen (the main sex hormone in women) and this can lead to menopausal symptoms. Did you know that about 85% of women experience some hormone-related symptoms as they approach and transition through menopause? Menopause occurs when you have not had a menstrual period for 12 months. It is a natural part of life occurring at around age 51 years but can also happen for other reasons including after surgery, chemotherapy, or radiotherapy to your pelvis.
Hot flushes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, low sex drive, dry skin and nails, weight gain, and anxiety, these are just some of the symptoms you may be experiencing when transitioning through menopause. While every menopause is different, we are here to help you along your menopause journey and find the right treatment for you
